Basilica of St. Nicholas

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Collegium of the Cappella Nicolai

The Collegium sings beautiful carols, hymns and other fantastic choral works written especially for Christmas by well-known and lesser-known composers, framed by nine readings from the Bible.

Every year this is one of the most popular celebrations of the Amsterdam Basilica and one of the highlights of the musical year. You are most welcome to reflect on Christmas in this way! The church opens its doors at 4.30 pm and it starts at 5 pm. Admission is free, but we highly recommend the door collection.
